I had the pleasure of working on my high school graduation project with Mme. Fabienne Douls. With utmost dedication, motivation, and commitment, she supported and guided me through every single step of the project, which I ultimately presented at the finals of 'Swiss Youth in Science'. She is the best coach I had for this project, and I am incredibly grateful for her consistently precise advice, insightful suggestions, and essential encouragement!

I prepared intensively for my oral French exam as part of my Matura (Swiss high school diploma) with Ms. Douls. In just four hours, we discussed my four chosen books together and concluded with a realistic mock exam. It was very helpful and motivating for me to work through all the exam material in such a short time with a dedicated, competent, and experienced teacher.

Madame Douls not only made the complexities of the French language accessible to me, significantly improving my language skills – her lessons, with their Parisian flair and delicious crêpes, felt almost like a mini language immersion trip!

Madame Douls was my French teacher for six years – from the first year of my extended secondary school education until graduation. Her lessons always had a motivating atmosphere where mistakes were seen as learning opportunities. She placed great emphasis on active speaking – countless discussions and debates about literature, politics, and current events significantly improved my spoken French. And because she taught me French so thoroughly, I still speak fluent French a year after graduation.

As a bilingual student, I attended Madame Fabienne Douls's course, "Module d’expression et culture francophones," for several years. Each week, we explored a fascinating topic, structured in such a way that the discussions often resonated for days afterward. In addition to current social issues, we had the opportunity to write short stories and slam poetry, as well as analyze images on a semiotic level, making each lesson varied and creative. Madame Douls always responded to our ideas and wishes, creating a learning environment that focused on cultural discovery, reflection, and expression. Her energy, motivation, and enthusiasm for the French language, along with the profound discussions we had with her, were infectious and made this module far more than just a school lesson—for me personally, it was an enriching experience that is reflected in my academic profile.

Ms. Douls-Eicher was my French and homeroom teacher at high school for three years. Her classes consciously and encouragingly supported all levels of achievement—each lesson became a lively, open discussion in which we could all learn from one another and were motivated to participate actively and orally.
